I mitten står en imponerandeobelisk (Tekhenu) som kastar sin skugga på olika delar av brädan.När spelet fortskrider ändrar solens rotation vilka sektioner som är soliga,skuggade eller mörka. In the center stands an impressiveobelisk (Tekhenu) that casts its shadow onto different parts of the board.As the game progresses, the sun's rotation alters which sections are sunny,shaded, or dark. That in turn tells the players what action they canperform and with what effects.
