Find everything you need to get started making great lino prints at Selfmade.The perfect lino cutting tool setThe set comprises five lino cutting tools, which are perfect for cutting lino printing motifs.The set consists of:1 beech wood shaft1 wooden blade ejector tool5 lino cutting blades (0.6 mm thick) with different profiles: 1 V-shaped blade, 1 U-shaped blade, 1 U-shaped blade (3 mm wide), 1 U-shaped blade (4 mm wide) and 1 sharp knife blade.The lino cutting blades are easy to mount on the wooden shaft:Insert the end of the blade into the wooden shaft. Insert the ejector tool down inside the shaft and apply a little pressure. The blade now sits firmly inside the shaft.To remove the blade, insert the ejector tool and pull the blade out. With this starter kit, you have everything you need to get started – and it’s a great gift idea!Cute and handy 8-part setThis handy starter set contains:1 lino roller, rubber1 glass plate1 lino printing block (A6)1 wooden shaft3 lino cutting blades1 tube of lino printing ink (20 ml)You will also need: paper, PAP FAB or fabric to print on.How to make a lino print with this set: Draw your motif on the lino printing block. Use a soft pencil.Use the lino cutting tools to make contours. Hold the shaft of the lino cutting tool like a knife. Do not cut too deeply into the lino printing block. Work carefully to avoid injuries. Using the roller, roll lino printing ink onto the glass plate until the ink is evenly distributed. Use the roller to transfer the colour to your lino printing block.Lay the wet lino printing block onto a sheet of paper. (If you like, try this out on newspaper first). Be sure to use a paper format that is slightly larger than the lino printing block. Carefully turn the paper and the lino printing block over. Press with your hand. The harder the pressure, the better the result. To create pressure, you can also roll the lino roller backwards and forwards. NB: Clean the roller first.Gently peel the paper off, and leave to dry.
