Certain detectors such as those with virtual chambers have no physical features to cause stimuli generation to start. The Optional Testifire 25 Infrared Remote Control can be used to initiate the test procedure in such situations.The Remote control is operated by aiming the LED towards Testifire when it is at height and the control button is used to startstop a test andor move on to the next test in the sequence.

EMS Firecell FCX-178-001 Wireless Remote Indicator ModuleThe FCX-178-001 is a wireless remote indicator head complete with radio base incorporating alkaline batteries and supplied with a surface-mount fixing plate. Removal of the indicator or radio base will indicate a fault condition. The radio base is fully compliant with EN54 part 25. The Indicator incorporates a selectable automatic lock which if enabled locks it into its base when plugged in preventing unauthorised removal.The indicator can be programmed for indication of individual device activation or to follow an individual zone. Each unit has a unique address configured during manufacture and is individually addressable by the system controller. The radio base is programmed to report at regular intervals of less than 300 seconds. Designed and manufactured using the latest techniques and surface-mount technology ensures component count is kept to a minimum thereby maximising reliability.The radio base is powered by a low-voltage dual supply alkaline battery pack. The battery pack condition is continually monitored. The battery pack has been tested to provide a 5 year life at normal conditions 15C-35C. Heat Detector - IvoryThe Opal NFXI-TFIX58 NFXI-TFIX78 are fixed temperature analogue addressable sensors employing low mass thermistors and microprocessor technology for fast response and linear temperature sensing. Their linear response allows these sensors to be used to signal temperatures over the range of 58C Class A1S to 78C Class BS.The Opal NFXI-TDIFF uses the same thermistor and microprocessor technology to provide an alarm when the rate of rise in temperature exceeds 10Cminute typical or if the temperature exceeds a threshold of 58C Response Class A1R. Notifiers Opal protocol allows it to be software configured to be either a fixed 58C a fixed 78C unit or a 58C with rate of rise device.For backwards compatibility and approval continuity three separate versions continue to be available as separate part numbers. The sensing elements of all three heat sensors are panel controllable through the Opal Protocol so the sensitivity thresholds of each element can be changed by the panel offering the ability to customise the device for the changing use of the area it is protecting. The detectors have built in short circuit isolation and two integral tri-colour LEDs that provide 360 local visual indication of the device status.
