Vox Ignis ViAC-CPP-W Lexicomm Assist Call Pull Cord 2.8m - White

Vox Ignis ViAC-CPP-W Lexicomm Assist Call Pull Cord 2.8m - WhiteThe ViAC-CPP-W is an assist call pull cord white polycarbonate finish single gang plate with blue halo indication and 2.8m cord with two 50mm diameter red rings. The ceiling pull plate is used to activate the alarm the ceiling pull plate should be mounted with the lowest ring pull 100mm from the floor. The ceiling pull plate consists of a single gang plate as standard with a blue halo indicator for the visual alarm. For simplicity all wiring is a standard two core cable up to 6 pull cords can be connected on a single line the wiring order of the plates is not fixed and therefore can be wired in any order to give total flexibility in the installation routes. Each plate has two sets of two part terminals allowing simple cable connections and also a complete first fix solution.Under the Equality Act building owners have a duty of care to ensure the safety of all building occupants especially those less able. Buildings Regulations Approved Document M was written to provide the requirements for these systems and applies to all buildings other than pure dwelling places. This requires the fitting of emergency assistance alarm systems to allow users of the disabled facilities to call for help should they need it. BS8300 provides additional guidance on the implementation of this requirement. The Assist Call system is designed to provide a fully compliant and scalable solution to building owners with many unique benefits including clear indication acoustic and visual feedback and high quality stainless steel finishes blending into all locations. In simple systems where the accessible room in in a permanently staffed area a basic kit can be used. However where the accessible room is in a remote location a means of signalling that help is on the way is required Assist call provides this by switching from the two tone alarm signal to a short period of beeps every 15 seconds the visual indication also changes from flashing to steady indicating to the occupant that help is on the way.If the call is not cancelled within two minutes of acceptance the system reverts to full alarm again. In line with BS8300 the alarm call should only be cancelled from the location the call was generated from. For simplicity all wiring is standard two core cable and unlike other systems the wiring order of the devices is not fixed allowing the designer total flexibility in the installation routes.
