Elsweyr is an expansion and the third chapter for the MMORPG The Elder Scrolls Online, developed by ZeniMax Online Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. It is the 3rd expansion released for the game. Elsweyr moves the game's action to a new area and adds several new features and content to the original game.
Players can now choose to play as a Necromancer, a new character class. They can take on a new quest called Sunspire, as well as fight new high-level dragons that prowl the area. Elsweyr received a very positive reception from critics, who praised the graphics and design of the new location, the new character class, and the expansion's gripping storyline.
Gameplay
The Elder Scrolls Online - Elsweyr changes little in the core gameplay mechanics of the ESO series. The game continues to be a traditional example of a multiplayer online action-RPG, in which the player chooses one of six character classes and tries it out in the game world, fighting against other players or competing in a number of Player vs Everything (PvE) events that include quests to complete, dungeons to clear, and adventure zones to traverse, solo or with friends.
Elsweyr adds several new features, the most important of which is a new character class, the Necromancer. This class specializes in techniques that allow you to use the powers of life and death to reanimate corpses. As with the other character classes, the Necromancer has three unique skill lines. The Grave Lord skill allows the player to imbue the undead with elemental powers. The Bone Tyrant skill turns the remains of the fallen on the battlefield into barriers and uses them to replenish the players health. Living Death revives fallen allies and restores health to those close to defeat.
With new dragons in the skies of Elsweyr comes a new trial. The player and his team must enter Sunspire, a temple overrun by dragons. Completing the trial grants the player unique items and equipment.
History

ESO Elsweyr was very well received by reviewers, who spared no praise for the game's developers, who have outdone themselves when it comes to the quality of the product. Reviewers noted that one of the main strengths of the expansion is a new playable class - necromancer, as well as beautiful new lands to explore and, of course, the ability to fight dragons, which showed that the creativity of developers has no limits when it comes to designing thrilling encounters with flying beasts.
