Nikka Coffey Gin 70cl

The Stillery's First Spelt Vodka 70cl

Cubical Ultra Premium London Dry Gin 70cl

Cubical Ultra Premium London Dry Gin 70cl

Cubical Ultra Premium London Dry Gin The Cubical range of Gin's are produced for Bodegas Williams & Humbert at the Langley distillery in Birmingham. This distillery has been making quality gins since 1920. Similar to their classic London dry, this uses high quality English grain for the base, but in the Ultra Premium they distill using four seperate distillation processes instead of three. This heightens the smoothness of the gin ensuring a premium base from which to build the flavour profiles. The still they use is also over 100 years old. They utilise the same careful selection of botanicals which include Buddha's Hand (a type of citrus), Lemon, Juniper Berries, Coriander Seeds, Angelica Root, Orange & Lemon Peels, Orris Root, Liquorice root powder, Cassia Bark, almond shells and sweet orange. They also add orange blossom to their ultra premium. The result of this is a bright and vibrant gin, but one with is refreshingly light. The juniper and a touch of almond greet you before developing into defined citrus flavours - which refresh, but don't overpower the gin. In the ultra premium the end of the gin develops and finishes with a floral note from the orange blossom. More from Williams & Humbert Perfect Serve A classic London dry, with developed citrus flavours, this works really well with Fentimans Connoiseurs Tonic in a classic G&T. Take a large glass filled with ice and add 50ml of the gin. Gently pour over 150 - 200ml of your chosen tonic and stir gently. Garnish with a slice of orange and a few juniper berries.

Nikka Coffey Malt Whisky 70cl

Nikka Coffey Malt Whisky 70cl

Nikka Coffey Malt Whisky The history behind Nikka Coffey starts in the 1960's, and comes from the expertise of the Japanese Nikka Whisky company. They have decades of experience blending whiskies, and creating white spirits.  Whilst 'Nikka' is the name of the company, Coffey refers to the type of still used to create the base distillate. This is a traditional continuous still, which produces the signature grain whiskies of Nikka. These were imported from Scotland to Japan in 1963.  With their Malt Whisky, Nikka have gone somewhat against convention. Coffey stills are used by most distilleries only in creating grain whisky. But at theur Miyagikyo distillery they use their two Coffey stills to create this Malt whisky as well. Introduced in 2014, this is a whisky which is rich and full of flavour; definitely a welcome addition to their range of whiskies.  This is a light amber colour in the glass, with a nose full of butterscotch, vanilla and sweet malt. Hints of caramel and winter spiced fruit also come through. In the mouth the spiced fruits, vanilla and butterscotch also come through - as on the nose. These are joined by a maltiness, and nuts. It finishes with a medium length, not overly lingering in the mouth. The butterscotch, malt and fruit linger to the end. More from Nikka Perfect Serve This can be enjoyed neat on its own at room temperature, or over ice. We liked this best with a large single ice-cube as it released additional flavours.

Sibling Original Gin 70cl

Sibling Original Gin 70cl

Sibling Original Gin The story behind the Sibling distillery starts (perhaps unsurprisingly) with four siblings. Felix, Clarice, Cicely and Digby had all grown up with their parents, who run a microbrewery. Experiencing their hard-work and dedication to producing real craft ales inspired something in them. After a short period making and selling Sloe Gin on a farmer’s market, they decided that they were going to direct their youthful enthusiasm and creative ideas into their own gin(s). After much trial and error, and the purchasing of a new type of vapour still. This still allows for small batches to be made, ensuring fresh botanicals with each distillation. It also ensures a delicate infusion of the botanicals, allowing light and fresh flavours to be infused into their gin. Unlike many distillers, they also create their own alcohol base. This allows them to ensure a base which is exceptionally pure. This, their original Triple Distilled Gin was the first gin they produced. Since launching it has become renowned for its modern and distinctly fresh flavour profile. As a gin it has a juniper lead, but this is lighter than usually found (although still definitely present). A delicate hint of spice comes through from cubeb berries – which awakens the taste buds. These flavours are then joined by fresh citrus and delicious and distinctive notes of Madagascan vanilla and blueberry. These balance the drink perfectly – helping to deliver a perfectly smooth gin. More from Sibling Distillery Perfect Serve This is a light and fresh gin, and makes a delightfully enticing Gin & Tonic. We recommend serving with Three Cents Tonic Water. Take a large glass filled with ice and add 50ml of the gin. Gently pour over 150 – 200ml of your chosen tonic and stir gently. Garnish with a slice of orange (which pairs perfectly with the vanilla flavours in the gin). If you like something a little different, try with Fentimans Valencian Orange Tonic water. The bitter zesty notes of orange peels offer a slightly different flavour combination which we enjoyed almost as much as the more ‘classic’ Three Cents Tonic Water.

Sibling Original Gin (Mini) 5cl

Sibling Original Gin (Mini) 5cl

Roku Gin 70cl Gift Pack

Roku Gin 70cl Gift Pack

Roku Gin Gift Pack This pack contains: 1 x Roku Gin 70cl 1 x Gin Glass 1 x Gift Box Roku Gin In Japanese, Roku translates as the number six. Made in Japan by the Suntory Distillery, the name comes from the unique botanicals utilised in the creation of Roku Gin. Along with some more traditional botanicals (juniper berries, coriander, angelica root, angelica seed, cardamom, cinnamon, bitter orange peel and lemon peel), there can be found six very special botanicals that are carefully sourced in Japan.  They utilise the seasonal abundance found in Japan to gather the specific Japanese botanicals. During the spring, Sakura flower and leaf are selected. In the summer, Sencha and Gykuro teas. Autumn brings Sansho pepper, and finishing the seasons, and botanicals are yuzu (a type of citrus) peel harvested in the winter. Suntory's mastery of the selection and distillation process has been gained through decades of making gin. They developed their own multiple distillation process due to the unique features that each botanical brings to Roku Gin's perfectly balanced mix. It is through this dedication that their mastery can clearly be tasted in their gin. The aroma itself gives hints of its Japanese heritage, with Cherry blossom and green tea providing both a floral and sweet aroma. The taste is quite complex but with a harmonious balance of flavour provided by the varied botanicals. The background notes are of a traditional gin, with mid notes hinting at the japanese influences, whilst there is a definite citrus top note from the yuzu. It ends with a crisp sansho pepper spiciness, which is defined, but not overpowering. Overall it has a smooth and silky texture. Read more about Suntory Perfect Serve To really enjoy Roku Gin in a manner akin to Japanese traditions, Roku has created a gin tonic in tune with the spirit of Omotenashi (roughly translated as "entertaining guests wholeheartedly"). They suggest a ginger garnish to compliment the yuzu and sakura botanicals found in the gin. Slice ginger into six equal long, thin slices. Fill a tall glass to the rim with ice, and add the ginger slices. Add 50ml of the gin, and then top up the glass with a neutral tonic (we recommend Three Cents Tonic Water). Add a stirrer and gently stir to balance all elements of th gin tonic. 乾杯!(Cheers!)

Hennessy VS Cognac 35cl

Hennessy VS Cognac 35cl

Hennessy VS Cognac The history behind Hennessy goes back to 1765. It was an Irish Jacobite officer who had served in the army of Louis XV that started the Hennesy Cognac Distillery. He had retired in the cognac region where he setup the distillery and began exporting his products to the UK and Ireland. Now known as one of the 'big four' cognac producers in the world (who between then produce around 85% of the world's cognac). Hennessy is the largest of the four, and produce around 70 million bottles of cognac a year. In fact, it was in 1840 that Hennessy became the worlds leading exporter of Brandy, and to this day have not lost that title. Being a type of Brandy, Cognac falls under the French appellation d'origine contrôlée (AOC) which means there are strict requirements to be called Cognac. These include twice distilling specific grape varieties in copper pot stills and aging for a minimum of two years in Limousin or Tronçais oak casks. The VS (very special) designation denotes that the youngest brandy within the blend has had the minimum two years in casks (it is always the youngest brandy in the blend which gives the designation).  Hennessy VS Cognac is a blend masterfully created from over 40 different eaux-de-vie. It is the Master Blender who oversees this process to ensure the quality.  The result of this blending and knowledge is a full bodied cognac. With a renowned smoothness, and a touch of sweetness it has distinct spice notes. The aging in wood gives a light nuttiness to the cognac, which join with flavours of rich dried fruits and berries. These are all rounded out by warming vanilla. Interesting fact: In 1813 Jean Fillioux was appointed Master Blender. A member of the Fillious family has kept this role ever since - more than 250 years and a total of eight generations! More from Hennessy Perfect Serve If enjoying straight up on its own, ensure you enjoy this at room temperature from a tulip glass. However this also works exceptionally well in the mix. Try mixing with ginger ale for a longer refreshing drink, which brings out the natural spice found in Hennessy V.S. Take a tall glass filled with ice and add 40ml of the V.S. Gently pour over 100ml of ginger ale (we like this with Fentimans), and stir gently. Garnish with a slice of lime.

Clover Loves Lobsters Lucky No. 4 Tasting Pack

Clover Loves Lobsters Lucky No. 4 Tasting Pack

Clover Loves Lobsters Lucky No. 4 Tasting Pack This pack contains: 1 x Clover Loves Lobsters Lucky No. 4 50cl (44%) 4 x Lobsters Toni 200ml Clover Gin Lucky No. 4 Launched in 2017, and made in Belgium, Clover Lucky N°4 is a more citrus take on the original Clover. It's made with locally grown and sourced ingredients, and they are proud that this is an original and Belgian product. The three leaves of the Clover represent a number of things with this gin. The three sisters who own the company, and their memories of childhood running through clover strewn meadows. Their mother (a botanist), instilled in them a knowledge of herbs, flowers and spices - which sparked a love for all things flora. This knowledge and passion comes through in their products as well. The initial aroma of this gin is perfumed with a delicate herbalness to it. When mixed with tonic, the initial perfume hit is lessened, allowing more of the herbal notes to come through. The taste is delicate too (and makes this a very easy to drink Gin!), with green tea and cardamom perfectly balanced with citrus notes from bergamot (a type of bitter orange crossed with lemon) and clementine.  Being a slightly higher alcohol percentage (44%), it might be thought that this would be a harsher gin than the original Clover, however this is definitely not the case. A light herbal profile comes through at first taste, which develops into the more citrus notes. This doesn't make this a strongly citrus (or sweet) gin, but rather adds a freshness and lightness to the drink. There is the mild hint of green tea throughout the gin, which works well at bringing it together as a whole. The end is delicate again, yet somehow also rich and warming (definitely not harsh though). Interestingly, the juniper notes in this gin are present, but not in any way overpowering, and more as a hint at a background taste. To this end, if may not be one for those who really like the juniper, pine and woody notes of a more classic gin.  This is a really easy gin to drink, especially for those new to the world of gin. The taste is subtle, and can easily be enjoyed without any of the flavours fighting on the tastebuds. Definitely one we would recommend trying as its very unique! Lobsters Tonic The Gentleman "Lobsters Gentleman’s Rule #1 - Do what is right. Not what is easy" This is a real classic tonic water, which is wonderfully refreshing. Extra dry, and a 'classic' tonic, it has less sugar than most other tonic waters on the market. The finish is lightly bitter, with the quinine coming through. The sweetness of this tonic comes from stevia, a natural sweetener, which makes the tonic particularly low in calories (26kcal/ 100ml) - and ensures no unpleasant taste from artificial sweeteners. More from Lobsters Perfect Serve Add ice to a glass and add 50ml Clover Lucky No. 4 Gin. Top up with 150-200ml Lobsters Tonic Water for a delicious G&T.
