However, they also release a number of special editions too. When looking at these, their King George V whisky is a celebration of John Walker & Sons (as they were known) receiving their first Royal Warrant in 1934 by King George V. To create this the Johnnie Walker makers have hand-selected some of Johnnie Walker's rarest stocks, and only those which existed during King George V's reign. This results in a truly special, elegant blend made with whiskys including Cardhu, Lochnagar, and irreplaceable casks from the now-closed Port Ellen distillery On the nose the sweet, smoky aromas from Port Ellen greet you.
