Caorunn Gin 70cl

Caorunn Gin 70cl

Caorunn Gin Carefully handcrafted in the Scottish Highlands, Caorunn expertly infuses five locally foraged botanicals, along with six traditional gin botanicals. The result is something quite superb.  It is an artisanal gin, created in small batches, beautifully mixing the rugged charm of Speyside with the urban sophistication of modern Scotland. The locally foraged botanicals give the gin a sense of location. These are rowan berry which gives a piquant flavour - and is the soul of the gin; bog myrtle giving a soft sweet aroma; heather, which is synonymous with Scotland, gives a subtle undertone to the aroma, and gives a delicate honey sweetness; Coul Blush apple, which adds further clean and crisp sweetness and lastly dandelion leaf which lends a touch of sharpness. Joining these are the more traditional botanicals of juniper, coriander seed, orange and lemon peel, angelica root and cassia bark It's a classic London Dry gin, and has an aroma which is fresh, lightly floral, slightly citrus, with a  hint of spice. Overall its aromatic and entices you into the drink. The taste is clean and crisp. A light and delicate sweetness coming through. It's full bodied and very aromatic. The blend of local and traditional botanicals leaves an invigorating, long lasting, crisp and slightly drying finish which is extremely refreshing. Interesting fact.... Caorunn, (pronounced ‘ka-roon'), is the Gaelic word for Rowan Berry – a Celtic botanical that forms the very soul of this gin. Read more about Caorunn Perfect Serve The flavours in this gin deserve to be noticed, and enjoyed, so we recommend a neutral tonic such as Three Cents Tonic Water. Pour 50ml of the gin and 150ml of the tonic in a glass over ice, stire gently and garnish with red apple slices to compliment the crisp taste of the gin.
