Tony Dixon Tin Whistle D - DX001 Soprano High D Polymer Whistle, One Piece
Brand: Tony Dixon
Description
The Tony Dixon DX001 is a one-piece polymer tin whistle in high D, with a polymer body and ABS head, about 11.6 inches long. It is easy to blow, with a sweet, clean tone, and its low price makes it one of the most popular first whistles for learning Irish tunes. D is the standard key for Irish traditional music and for most tutor books. As a one-piece penny whistle it has no tuning slide, so it plays at a fixed pitch, which is fine for practice and playing on your own. If you plan to join sessions, a tuneable Dixon such as the DX005 lets you match other instruments.
