Fender ’68 Custom Princeton Reverb

Fender ’68 Custom Princeton Reverb

The guitarist with an eye and ear for late-’60s Fender silver panel style will love the ’68 Custom Princeton Reverb, which honors the classic look and great sound of that era’s amps. Small, light and moderately powered, longtime recording and gigging favorite the Princeton Reverb received a fresh new face in 1968—a silver-and-turquoise front panel with aluminum grille cloth trim, with tone, reverb and tremolo that was still pure Fender. The ’68 Custom Princeton Reverb also has modified tone circuitry for greater tonal flexibility with pedals and reduced negative feedback for greater touch sensitivity and quicker overdrive onset. Bluguitar Fatcab 1X12 Speaker Cabinet

Bluguitar Fatcab 1X12 Speaker Cabinet

The BluGuitar FATCAB is the result of my many years of trying to capture the sound-character of an old 4×12“ box in a compact 1×12“ format.   Obviously I know that physics sets us limits, but I still find it surprising how well this box works for me in practice. It has proved its worth on small to midsized stages over the years, where its advantages really come to light: Because the box only has one speaker it quickly reaches its optimum working range, making the sound vibrant and less stiff. The Thiele Bass-Reflex-System and the interlocked, extremely stiffened casing provide a defined, dynamic Bass sound with Sub-bass, usually only associated with 4×12“ boxes. This is still the case even when playing at a lower volume. The volume of the casing delivers an extra portion of low-midrange frequency. At high volume the box delivers a balanced sound, without any danger of droning or loosing the tight bootom due to the fat magnet of our custom designed speaker. The speaker itself gives the sound a harmonious mid-range and soft treble, which are made even silkier by being filtered through the thick basket-weave covering the front of the box.    A big chunky bass with a quick response, a creamy mid-range and a soft silky treble on top, which stays smooth and doesn’t get annoying. For me, the FATCAB sounds and feels like an old Mini 4×12“ box. In clubs and on medium-sized stages, I don’t miss having a 4×12“ box at all.   Specifications: Type: 1 x 12“ Closed Back Power: 60 Watt Impedance: 8 Ohm Speaker: 1 x 12“ special BluGuitar Fat Wood: Baltic Birch ply w/finger joint corners Tolex: Black Levant Grill Cloth: Black Basket Weave Weight: 15 kg Dimensions: 37 x 55 x 30 cm Connectivity: 1 x Mono In, 1 x Parallel Out, 1x Serial Out Special Features: Thile-Small design for best Bass-Response

Faith Neptune Blue Moon

Faith Neptune Blue Moon

A truly stunning, exotic beauty with a distinctive voice. The Neptune Blue Moon is a truly individual instrument. One of the beauties of genuinely solid, natural tonewoods is that each piece of solid timber used will vary in its natural colouration and its particular grain patterns. So your Blue Moon will be as unique as you and your music. Tonally, Mango has an interesting character. It is not as loud and punchy as rosewood nor as straightforwardly mellow as mahogany, yet it bears its own distinctive warmth. With frequency prominence starting a little below that of mahogany and dropping off a little earlier in the mid-range, the overall tone could be described as dark and moody. Much like maple guitars, the reduced level of resonant overtones makes the Mango-bodied Blue Moon a perfect stage guitar: Eminently controllable, balanced and resistant to feedback. Mango trees grow freely right across the Indonesian archipelago, so the timbers used on Blue Moon guitars are sourced close to our workshops in Java, Indonesia, and as always, from certified timber merchants. Finished with flamed Maple binding, Macassan Ebony fittings, Fishman Electronics and complete in a hard case, your Faith Neptune Blue Moon is sure to intrigue and delight you at every turn. This Faith Guitar is fitted with the refined, low-profile Fishman INK3 preamp system with the Sonicore piezo pickup located under the saddle. The preamp features a chromatic tuner, 3 band EQ and volume control. The output jack is located at the base of the guitar as part of the ingenious, easy-access battery compartment. Faith Higloss 3 Venus Electro/Cut - 3-Piece Rosewood

Faith Higloss 3 Venus Electro/Cut - 3-Piece Rosewood

Overview Faith HiGloss series have always been designed to offer both visual and aural beauty, and with the updating to HiGloss-3, we’re sure you’ll agree these wonderful instruments will continue to inspire musicians for generations to come. Using a more sustainable 3-piece, solid rosewood back design, we can ensure that these incredibly popular models are available longer-term and yet retain all the tonal and visual punch that HiGloss-series afficianados have come to expect. Using high grade Englemann Spruce for the top and highly-figured, 3-piece Rosewood bound in Flamed Maple for the back and sides, HiGloss-3 models also feature solid Flamed Maple binding on the front and use stripy Indonesian Ebony for the fingerboard, bridge, headplate and heelcap. Tonally, this combination of wood is generally bright and ‘zingy’, delivering great clarity. Visualising this as a frequency curve, it would be shaped like a smile: high on the bass, dipping down through the middle and rising once again at the top end. Therefore greater string separation and articulation is achieved, lending itself to fingerstyle and solo pieces in particular. All HiGloss series Faith Guitars are complete with a Faith Hardcase. The Venus is the now iconic shape that brought Faith Guitars to the consciousness of so many players over the years. The combination of a 15″ lower bout and a slimmer depth of body looks to classic OM or Auditorium body-shapes for inspiration, and makes the Venus the perfect compromise. In fact, the Naked Venus was voted ‘The UK’s Best Acoustic Guitar’ at the MIA Music Awards in 2013. It is still big enough to deliver a big acoustic performance, yet remains small enough for the player to jump around on stage with no problem.
