You can either purchase it with a free 24" headboard, which sits just above the mattress and connects via wooden struts to the bed (it is measured 24" from the top of the mattress). Or you can purchase it with a 54" floor standing headboard (as pictured). This is measured from the floor to the top of the headboard. This headboard perfectly complements the bed. Reinforce Option We now offer the option to reinforce this divan bed base to make it super strong. The joints of the bed are specifically reinforced to make sure the bed can accommodate more weight. This is ideal for couples who are looking for a heavy-duty bed that can accommodate more weight than a normal bed. But it is also ideal for those who want to ensure that their bed lasts a very long time. We are a heavy couple, will this bed be suitable for our weight? We would strongly advise you to upgrade the bed to a re-inforced bed. This will make the bed extremely strong and ideal for heavier people. You won't have any issues with the bed then, and it will last you many years. 2. How easy is assembly? Assembly is very easy and should only take 5 minutes. All you have to do is attach the headboard to the base and use 2 U Clips (which are provided) to clip the 2 bases together underneath so that they do not move. 3. How high is the base? Base is approx 14 inches high. 4. Is headboard provided? Yes the same design headboard pictured in the main product image is included for free, but please note the size varies depending on which size you choose. 5. How high is the headboard? It depends on which option you choose from the drop down list above. 6. Can I buy the bed on it's own? Yes off course you can, when selecting mattress simply choose 'No Mattress' and you can buy the bed on it's own. 7. How long is delivery? Delivery is within 5-10 working days approx, please see the Delivery section below for more information. 8. Do your products come with a guarantee? Yes this item comes with a 1 year guarantee. 9. Is everything provided to assemble the bed? Yes everything is provided all you need is a screwdriver. 11. Where is the smaller 20" or 24" headboard measured from? This is measured from the top of the mattress. The headboard connects to the bed via the wooden struts provided. 12. Does this bed have any slats? No, it is a solid platform top divan base. 13. How is this item delivered? Apart from the small single and single beds, the bases come delivered in 2 halves, thus making it easy to take upstairs (we can also do a split base option, please contact us for further details).
