It is a deciduous tree (meaning it loses its leaves over the coldest months generally from November to February). It has a smooth glossy mahogany coloured bark bark. A sight to behold in the winter months when you can fully appreciate the colourful display of its stems.The crown of this multistemmed tree will be densely covered with narrow leaves between early Spring and late Autumn and these leaves change orange and red in late autumn.
