This anthem was composed to commemorate the retirement of Frank Hall, Pastor of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Westport, Connecticut, to whom the piece is dedicated. Pastor Hall used this text, attributed to William Penn, to conclude every Sunday service over which he presided.
