The première of Leo Brouwer?s Concierto de Benicassim took place at the Certamen Internacional de Guitarra ?Francisco Tárrega? in Benicassim, Spain on 31st August 2002 to mark the 150th anniversary of Tarrega?s birth. The soloist was Gabriel Estarellas with the European Symphonic Orchestra conducted by Christian Florea.
