Divekick Steam CD Key
Divekick is a humorous brawl with two-dimensional graphics. This is the debut project of the One True Game Studios team founded by Adam Heart, the editor-in-chief of the Shoryuken.com website devoted to this genre. The production was also assisted by the company Iron Galaxy, with the accomplishments of, among others, Darkstalkers Ressurection.
The entire game control is limited to the two title buttons responsible for jump and kick. Players cannot control any other character movements. In practice, the fun boils down to properly aiming air attacks and dodging backwards. The second action is activated by pressing the kick when the warrior is standing on the ground. Each round lasts until the first hit, and the match is won by the person who amass five winning rounds faster.
This extremely simple combat system actually offers a lot of depth, and mastering it fully is not an easy task. Characters cannot block blows, which forces you to feel the right moment to attack, because counterattacks are extremely dangerous here. A lot also depends on the correct positioning of the heroes, which is hindered by their very limited mobility. In addition, if the kick lands on the opponent's head, he will start the next round in a daze, which will significantly slow down his reactions. An additional variety is the Kick-Meter bar, which, after charging, allows you to activate a special mode that allows higher jumps and faster attacks.
Divekick is kept in a very humorous atmosphere. There are five characters to choose from, which are mild parodies of fighting standards. Each of them has different parameters and statistics. The authors focused on cartoon graphics that operate at a smooth 60 frames per second.
